Dental Implant Brands Available in Hanoi: Biotem, Dentium, Hiossen and Straumann

Me Tri Dental Clinic currently offers four Dental Implant brands across five complete standard single-tooth packages: Biotem, Dentium SuperLine, Hiossen ET SA Implant System, Straumann® with SLA® surface, and Straumann® with SLActive® surface. The published package prices range from VND 12,000,000 to VND 43,000,000.

A higher price does not automatically mean a better Implant for every patient. The missing-tooth site, available bone, planned crown, expected biting forces, treatment timing, medical and dental factors, and budget all matter. It also helps to understand whether a name refers to a brand, an Implant system, or a surface technology.

USD estimates use a reference market rate of approximately 1 USD = 25,880 VND on October 9, 2026. They are for orientation only; treatment is priced and paid in VND. Your bank or payment provider may use a different rate.

This table is not a quality ranking from lowest to highest price. All five figures describe complete standard single-tooth packages, not fixture-only prices. The published warranties apply to the Implant fixture - the part placed in the jawbone - and do not automatically cover the Abutment, final crown, or every other restorative component for the same period.

Not sure which Implant option fits your treatment plan? The dentist can assess the tooth position, bone, bite, and restorative requirements before discussing suitable systems and confirmed package prices.

Brand, Implant system and surface: what is the difference?

These terms describe different things:

  • Brand: the manufacturer or commercial brand, such as Biotem, Dentium, Hiossen, or Straumann.
  • Implant system: a named product family or system, such as Dentium SuperLine or Hiossen ET SA Implant System.
  • Surface technology: treatment of the fixture surface that interacts with bone during osseointegration, the process by which bone forms a stable connection with the Implant. Hiossen SA and Straumann SLA® and SLActive® are surface descriptions.

A surface name is not necessarily the Implant's body model. In particular, SLA® and SLActive® are not two standalone Straumann body models. Implant dimensions, shape, connection, and the components needed for the crown also have to fit the treatment plan.

Do the Implant package prices include only the Implant fixture?

No. The confirmed standard single-tooth packages follow the same core structure. They include:

  • Initial Implant examination and consultation, plus treatment planning.
  • CBCT imaging used for Implant planning.
  • The Implant fixture, placement procedure, and local anesthesia.
  • A healing component or healing Abutment.
  • A standard Abutment, which connects the fixture to the restoration, and the final crown.
  • A 3D digital impression or scan when required by the restorative plan.
  • Standard medication when prescribed and standard follow-up appointments required by the confirmed plan.
  • Implant identification information and Implant fixture warranty information.
  • A temporary tooth only when included in the confirmed treatment plan.

The VND 12,000,000 package does not exclude the final crown, and the VND 43,000,000 package is not described as containing routine components absent from the other standard packages. When comparing quotations, compare the complete treatment package, not just the fixture price.

Additional procedures may be required because of a patient's anatomy or clinical condition, not simply because of the brand selected. Those are assessed and quoted separately.

Biotem Implant: what should patients know?

Biotem is the clinic's lowest-priced South Korean option: VND 12,000,000 for the complete standard single-tooth package, with a 5-year Implant fixture warranty.

The clinic publishes Biotem at brand level rather than identifying one predefined Implant system for every patient. The exact system should be confirmed as part of the individual treatment plan when applicable. Specifications from a particular Biotem model should not be assumed to apply to this package.

A lower published price does not establish that Biotem is lower quality, suitable only for straightforward cases, or expected to heal more slowly. Those conclusions cannot be drawn from price alone.

Dentium SuperLine: what should patients know?

Dentium SuperLine is a South Korean Implant system offered at VND 14,000,000 per complete standard single-tooth package, with an 8-year fixture warranty.

The system is described with an SLA-type treated surface and a tapered Implant design. These are system characteristics, not guarantees of a particular healing schedule or result. Dentium SuperLine is the clinic-confirmed public name; a different generation seen in a manufacturer catalog should not automatically be assumed to be the option being offered.

Hiossen ET SA Implant System: what should patients know?

Hiossen ET SA Implant System is listed by the clinic as a USA option, priced at VND 18,000,000, with a 10-year fixture warranty.

SA means a sand-blasted and acid-etched Implant surface. ET refers to a broader Hiossen family that includes different body configurations. The public package confirms the Hiossen ET SA Implant System but does not identify one specific ET body configuration as standard for every patient. The exact fixture should be confirmed in the patient's treatment plan.

Straumann Implant options: what should patients know?

The clinic lists two Swiss Straumann package options:

  • Straumann® with SLA® surface: VND 38,000,000, with an 18-year fixture warranty.
  • Straumann® with SLActive® surface: VND 43,000,000, with a 20-year fixture warranty.

The public distinction is the surface technology. The clinic does not specify a universal Straumann Implant body model for either package. These names therefore should not be interpreted as identifying two completely different body designs.

What is Straumann SLA®?

SLA® is a Straumann Implant surface technology made through sand-blasting and acid-etching, which create a roughened surface used in the process of osseointegration. It is an established surface technology, not an obsolete option simply because another surface is also available.

The surface alone does not tell the dentist which fixture dimensions, connection, or restorative components the case requires.

What is Straumann SLActive®?

SLActive® is Straumann's hydrophilic surface technology based on SLA® surface topography, with additional surface characteristics intended to support the early response of bone around the Implant. "Hydrophilic" describes how readily a surface interacts with water and biological fluids.

That design intent is not a promise that every patient will heal in a fixed number of weeks or receive a final crown sooner. Bone conditions, Implant stability, surgery, and the complete restorative plan still govern treatment timing.

Straumann SLA® vs SLActive®: what is the practical difference?

Both are Straumann surface technologies. SLA® is sand-blasted and acid-etched; SLActive® adds hydrophilic surface characteristics intended to support early osseointegration. At the clinic, they correspond to two different published package prices and fixture warranty periods.

Surface technology alone does not determine immediate loading, same-day temporary teeth, or when a final crown can be fitted. Those decisions also require assessment of Implant design, dimensions, surgical position, primary stability, the bite, bone, and restoration. Choosing by surface name alone leaves out essential information.

Is Straumann the best Dental Implant option?

Not universally. Straumann is the clinic's highest-priced brand in the standard single-tooth table, but a higher price does not prove better suitability or a better outcome for every patient.

Different Implant systems and surfaces can offer meaningful technical differences. The dentist still has to decide which available configuration supports the patient's specific surgical and restorative needs. A patient may reasonably discuss a preferred brand, but clinical suitability comes first.

Are Korean Dental Implants less reliable than Swiss Implants?

Country of origin alone is not a reliable way to assess suitability or predict the result. The clinic lists South Korean, US, and Swiss options, but nationality is not a clinical quality score.

The meaningful questions concern the specific system proposed, the Implant site and bone, the proposed crown, expected loading, timing, the clinician's plan, and ongoing maintenance. A Korean-vs-Swiss label cannot answer those questions.

Does a more expensive Implant mean a better result?

No. An Implant fixture is an important part of treatment, but so are diagnosis, CBCT-based planning, Implant position, surgical execution, the crown's design, oral hygiene, and long-term follow-up.

This does not mean every brand or system is interchangeable. It means system selection is one part of a complete treatment plan, rather than a substitute for that plan.

How does the dentist choose an Implant option?

The decision begins with examination and imaging. The dentist considers:

  • Site and anatomy: which tooth is missing, available bone dimensions, nearby structures, and the position available for the Implant.
  • Restoration and bite: space for the crown, appearance and gum contours (especially in the front), expected chewing forces, and grinding or clenching habits.
  • Surgical feasibility: suitable fixture dimensions and configuration, the stability achievable at placement, infection control, and whether extraction or immediate placement is being considered.
  • Health and healing: relevant medical conditions, medication, smoking, oral and gum health, and the patient's ability to maintain the Implant.
  • Treatment logistics: whether a temporary restoration is planned, when loading may be appropriate, follow-up arrangements, and budget.

Bone quality matters, but it does not assign a brand automatically. Limited bone may affect fixture dimensions, position, or the need for grafting. Similarly, a front tooth has appearance and gum-tissue considerations, while a back tooth may face different loading demands. Neither location establishes a universal brand rule. A specific recommendation should explain why the proposed Implant configuration is appropriate for that site.

Does the Implant brand determine whether immediate placement is possible?

No. Immediate Implant placement means placing the fixture in an extraction site at the time the tooth is removed. It may be considered when the anatomy, remaining bone, infection management, and ability to achieve appropriate primary stability support the plan.

A same-day temporary tooth is a separate decision involving Implant position, stability, the bite, and the planned restoration. Neither a higher-priced brand nor SLActive® means a patient will automatically receive a temporary tooth, immediate loading, or a permanent final crown on surgery day.

Does the Implant brand change how long treatment takes?

The overall timeline cannot be predicted from the brand name alone. Surface and system characteristics may matter to the healing strategy, but so do extraction, bone grafting, sinus treatment, primary stability, the healing response, and restorative requirements.

For a straightforward conventional case at the clinic, the pathway from Implant placement to final restoration typically takes about 3-6 months. Some cases need longer; early placement or restoration may be possible for selected patients. See how long Dental Implant treatment takes for the stages and reasons timelines vary.

How much do the different Implant options cost?

The five complete standard single-tooth prices are VND 12 million for Biotem, 14 million for Dentium SuperLine, 18 million for Hiossen ET SA Implant System, 38 million for Straumann® with SLA® surface, and 43 million for Straumann® with SLActive® surface. The comparison table above includes their origins, approximate USD equivalents, and fixture warranties.

Published prices exclude VAT. VAT is added only if the patient requests a VAT invoice. The actual plan may also require separate treatment such as a particulate bone graft, block bone graft, closed sinus lift, or open sinus lift. These are determined by anatomy and clinical needs, not assigned automatically according to brand; their necessity and cost should be confirmed before treatment. See Dental Implant costs in Hanoi for a fuller pricing explanation.

Do the Implant options have different warranties?

Yes. The published warranty periods vary by Implant option:

Implant optionImplant fixture warranty
Biotem5 years
Dentium SuperLine8 years
Hiossen ET SA Implant System10 years
Straumann® with SLA® surface18 years
Straumann® with SLActive® surface20 years

These periods apply to the Implant fixture, not automatically to the final crown, Abutment, or other components. A warranty period is not the expected lifespan of the Implant, and a longer fixture warranty is not proof that a particular brand is more clinically suitable.

Long-term performance also depends on oral hygiene, tissue health around the Implant, smoking, systemic health, the restoration and bite, grinding habits, and maintenance visits. Ask for the applicable written warranty information rather than treating the number of years as a prediction of longevity.

Will you know which Implant was placed?

Yes. The confirmed package includes Implant identification information. Keep this information with your dental records. It can help a future dentist understand the fixture system and identify compatible restorative components if additional care is needed.

There is no need to assume this information comes in a particular physical "Implant passport" format. The useful point is that the Implant can be accurately identified later.

Does Implant brand matter if you will return home after treatment?

Documentation and follow-up planning matter at least as much as the brand name. Another dentist may need the Implant identification information, treatment records, and details of the restoration if future care is required. Availability of replacement or restorative components varies by practice and location; no brand should be assumed to be stocked by every dentist worldwide.

You can discuss preferred options and prices before travelling, and existing X-rays or CBCT records can support a preliminary conversation. However, the final fixture selection follows an in-person examination and agreed treatment plan. International patients can learn more about a Dental Implant assessment before arriving in Hanoi.

Different dentists may recommend different systems because their protocols, clinical experience, available components, and restorative workflows differ. A different recommendation is not necessarily a better or worse one; compare the rationale and full plan.

What should you compare besides the Implant brand?

Use this checklist when reviewing quotations from different clinics:

  1. Is the exact brand or Implant system identified, rather than just a general name?
  2. Does the name refer to a brand, system, surface, or specific fixture model?
  3. How many Implant fixtures are planned?
  4. Is the figure a fixture-only price or a complete treatment package?
  5. Are examination and CBCT planning included?
  6. Is the placement procedure included?
  7. Is the healing component included?
  8. Is the standard Abutment included?
  9. Is the final crown included, and what restoration is actually proposed?
  10. Is a digital scan or impression included when needed?
  11. Is a temporary tooth included if it is part of the plan?
  12. Could bone grafting, sinus treatment, or other procedures be needed, and how would they be quoted?
  13. Which component does the warranty cover, and for how long?
  14. Will you receive Implant identification information and useful treatment records?
  15. What follow-up and maintenance are expected, including if you live abroad?

A lower fixture-only price should not be compared directly with a complete package including placement, planning, an Abutment, and a final crown. Ask for like-for-like quotations before concluding that one option costs more or offers more.

Is the Implant brand more important than the treatment plan?

Both matter, and neither replaces the other. A reputable system cannot compensate for an unsuitable surgical position, poor restorative design, or inadequate maintenance. Equally, careful planning does not make every Implant system identical.

The goal is to choose a technically and clinically appropriate fixture within a thoughtful surgical and restorative plan, then maintain the result over time.

Which Implant option should you choose?

Start with clinical suitability. The dentist should first identify which available options can reasonably meet the requirements of your case. Then compare those suitable options by complete package price, fixture warranty, treatment logistics, and your personal priorities.

Do not start by assuming that the most expensive Implant must be best, or that the lowest-priced option must be unsuitable. Ask the dentist what distinguishes the proposed choice for your Implant site and final restoration.

Where are the Implant brands from?

The clinic lists Biotem and Dentium as South Korean, Hiossen as USA, and Straumann as Swiss options. These are the published brand origins, not a guarantee that every component was manufactured in that country.

Country of origin should not be treated as a clinical quality ranking. Confirm the actual system and the full restorative plan instead.

Frequently asked questions

Which Dental Implant brands are available at Me Tri Dental Clinic?

Biotem, Dentium, Hiossen, and Straumann. The five packages are Biotem, Dentium SuperLine, Hiossen ET SA Implant System, Straumann® with SLA® surface, and Straumann® with SLActive® surface.

Which Dental Implant brand is best?

There is no single best brand for everyone. The dentist should match the available Implant configuration to your bone, missing-tooth location, restorative plan, expected forces, timing, health, and budget.

How much does a Biotem Implant cost?

The complete standard single-tooth Biotem package is VND 12,000,000.

How much does Dentium SuperLine cost?

The complete standard single-tooth Dentium SuperLine package is VND 14,000,000.

How much does Hiossen ET SA cost?

The complete standard single-tooth Hiossen ET SA Implant System package is VND 18,000,000.

How much does Straumann cost?

The complete standard single-tooth package is VND 38,000,000 for Straumann® with SLA® surface or VND 43,000,000 for Straumann® with SLActive® surface.

Does the price include the final crown?

Yes. The standard package includes the final crown, fixture, placement, standard Abutment, planning, and other confirmed components. Clinically required additional procedures are assessed separately.

Is Straumann better because it costs more?

Not automatically. It is the clinic's higher-priced brand, but the appropriate choice depends on the full clinical and restorative plan, not price alone.

Are Korean Implants worse than Swiss Implants?

No conclusion about reliability or suitability can be made from country of origin alone. The exact Implant system, treatment plan, and follow-up matter.

What is the difference between Straumann SLA® and SLActive®?

Both are surface technologies. SLA® is sand-blasted and acid-etched, while SLActive® adds hydrophilic characteristics intended to support early osseointegration.

Does SLActive® always heal faster or mean same-day final teeth?

No. Surface technology cannot guarantee a fixed healing period, immediate loading, or a final crown on surgery day. Stability, bone, bite, and the restorative plan remain decisive.

Is Hiossen ET SA the same as a specific ET body model?

Not necessarily. The ET family contains different body configurations. The clinic's public option is Hiossen ET SA Implant System; a particular fixture model should be confirmed from the treatment plan.

Which Biotem Implant model does the clinic use?

The clinic currently identifies Biotem at brand level. The exact Implant system is confirmed as part of the patient's treatment plan when applicable, rather than being inferred from a manufacturer catalog.

Does a longer warranty mean an Implant lasts longer?

No. The published period applies to the Implant fixture under the clinic's policy. It is not a predicted lifespan and does not establish which system is most suitable for you.

Choose an Implant option from your treatment plan, not the brand name alone

Me Tri Dental Clinic offers five complete standard single-tooth Implant packages from VND 12,000,000 to VND 43,000,000. A clinical examination and Implant planning can clarify which available options fit your bone, bite, restoration, and treatment goals before you make a decision.
